6/Williams Expro is a combination of 6 explorer and Williams probe
6 Explorer is a mini probe, with 6.5mm tip width. It is used for detection and penetration into the apical foramen in hard to reach areas. The thin, unbreakable, yet flexible probe tips made of a special steel alloy guarantee an extremely long life.
Williams probe is marked with mm interval up to 10mm. 4 mm and 6 mm marking is absent in Williams probe. These missing mm intervals help to identify the depth in minute conditions. Ideal Gingival pocket depth is approximately 3 to 4 mm. To ascertain a clear perception the demarcation of 4 mm and 6 mm is missing from a William’s probe. When the Periodontal probe is placed withing the Gingival sulcus, these areas of no marking helps get the abnormal pocket depth, if any.
