The 3A/UNC15 Expro combines a 3A explorer with a UNC15 periodontal probe in a single double-ended instrument. The 3A explorer end is used for caries and calculus detection, exploration of pocket characteristics, furcations, and restorations, with a sharp point that enhances tactile sensation. The UNC15 probe end is marked at every millimeter from 1 to 15mm, using grooves, colored indentations, or bands to indicate depth — an important tool for diagnosing the presence and severity of periodontal disease and assessing treatment.
Crafted from a special steel alloy, both working ends stay thin and break-resistant without becoming brittle, giving clinicians reliable, long-lasting tactile performance. All periodontal probes in the range are prepared by high-speed cutting machinery, keeping working parts finely and precisely dimensioned. The color markings are ultrasound-resistant and won’t dissolve or fade with repeated cleaning cycles. Together, the two ends make this Expro a well-rounded tool for dental examinations and charting.
