Unlike the Cut & Hold variant, this instrument is a no-hold design: it makes a clean, flush cut without capturing the trimmed wire fragment, making it a faster option when retrieval of the cut piece isn’t a clinical priority — for example when trimming wire ends that are easily accessible or visible rather than deep intraorally.
