Kramer-Nevins Periosteal is a surgical hand instrument used by surgeons to dissect or separate hard tissue like periosteum from bone prior to reduction and fixation of fractures. It is also used to retract tissue in confined spaces. Periosteal Raspatory features a cylindrical handle with serrations in crisscross pattern ensuring a firm hand grip. The handle extends to an oval flattened blunt tip at one end and a flattened sharp oval tip at the other end to accommodate different types of tissue.
Black coating is used for a harder, smoother surface for optimal edge retention and enhanced lubricity. Distinct black finish for enriched contrast between the instrument and the surgical site and underlying tissue. Reduce light reflection afforded by a matte finished handle and black working ends. Unique, smooth, large diameter light weight hollow handle for maximum comfort, reduced hand fatigue and increased control.
