Bruenings Tongue Spatula/Depressor, 195mm
The Bruenings Tongue Depressor or Retractor is a double-ended hand instrument, that is used to move the tongue downwards during the examination of the mouth and throat. It can also be used in procedures like the injection of medications and the excision of cysts and biopsies. The depressor has an overall length of 19.5cm and consists of two dissimilar blades that are curved in opposite directions. The larger blade has a width of 19 mm and the smaller blade is 15 mm wide. Each blade features four rectangular fenestrations to facilitate its grasp on the tissues and allow enhanced dexterity for the operator.
