2C Coupland Gouge Elevator, 3.5mm
The Blade of Coupland Gouge Elevator has one convex side inserted toward the bone and one concave side inserted toward the root surface with flat end. Coupland Gouge Elevators are straight elevators, are used to elevate the free gingiva from all around the tooth prior to forceps application. These elevators are also used to luxate and elevate fractured roots of maxillary anterior teeth at the crest level by wedging action alongside the root.
Point of Application:
Alongside the root surface in the periodontal membrane space in opposing line angles.
